“I would like to take this opportunity to thank the fantastic team at Greensleeves for their amazing support and guidance through a very challenging, unsettling and sometimes upsetting few months. The transition to carehome life has been particularly difficult for my mum, however, I am now seeing a greater acceptance of her new life. All members of staff go above and beyond in every aspect of their roles to provide the happiest and safest life for our loved ones. Without doubt, there could not be a better place for my mum and all her new and lovely friends to spend the final chapter of their lives. Much appreciation and gratitude.”

Thoughtful, individual

No two people experience dementia in exactly the same way.

Support at Greensleeves never feels generic. We take time to understand each resident’s routines, preferences, personality, life history and the details that help her feel comfortable and secure. That understanding helps dementia care feel more personal, familiar and reassuring, shaped around the individual and what helps her feel settled, safe and understood.

Because dementia care should still feel like living

A dementia diagnosis should not mean life becomes only about care needs.

At Greensleeves, residents are supported to continue enjoying moments that bring comfort and meaning: music, conversation, familiar routines, companionship, gentle activities, outings where suitable, or quieter one-to-one time. The aim is always to support connection, dignity and enjoyment in a way that feels right for the individual.

Common questions

Helpful to know.

Do you support women living with dementia?+
Yes. Greensleeves supports women living with dementia where we can safely and appropriately meet their needs. We take time to understand the person, her routines, preferences, life history and the kind of support that helps her feel calm, reassured and settled.
How do you help someone with dementia feel settled?+
Consistency, familiarity and relationships are very important. We focus on calm routines, familiar faces, gentle reassurance and getting to know what helps each person feel safe and comfortable.
How do you support routines and familiarity?+
We learn what matters to each resident: how she likes her day to begin, what brings comfort, what may cause distress, and what routines feel familiar. This helps us provide support in a way that feels personal rather than institutional.
How do you notice changes in wellbeing?+
With a stable, familiar team and staff turnover and agency use both below 5%, the team builds genuine familiarity with residents. This helps us notice small changes in mood, appetite, mobility, confidence, communication or general wellbeing more quickly.
How do you keep families updated?+
We understand that families can feel anxious when a loved one is living with dementia. We aim to communicate clearly and promptly, especially if needs change, concerns arise or there is something families should know.
Is dementia care still focused on quality of life?+
Yes. Dementia care should never be only about tasks or safety. We want residents to continue experiencing comfort, connection, routine, enjoyment and moments that feel meaningful to them.
