CONVERSATION IN THE LOUNGE

“Cannot thank Greensleeves enough for all the support given to my Mum and myself. Was in a really difficult position before coming to them and life has become so much happier for my mum, shes like her old self again. Cannot thank the staff enough, so friendly and caring each and every one of them. Such a lovely environment, and a nice homelike home for residents”

— Louise S (Daughter of Resident)
Still like living

Families want safety. They also want life to feel worth living.

Families often worry that moving into a care home will make life feel smaller. At Greensleeves, the aim is different. Residents are encouraged to stay connected to daily life in ways that feel right for them. Some enjoy group activities and outings; others prefer conversation, music, quieter routines or one-to-one time. Both are valued, because meaningful life looks different for every person.

Truly known

A women-only home where residents are known by name, their routine and personality.

  • Two activity staff plus outings support
  • Regular activities, events and social moments
  • Outings where suitable and safe
  • One-to-one engagement for quieter days
  • Music, conversation, food, creativity & reminiscence
  • Activities shaped around interests & energy
Activities, outings, moments

Meaningful, not just busy.

With two activity staff and an additional staff member supporting outings, activities and trips are planned as a meaningful part of the home, not treated as an occasional extra. Activities should add something to the day: enjoyment, connection, stimulation, routine or simply a moment to smile. Some residents enjoy music sessions and shared events; others prefer quieter hobbies, a relaxed pace or one-to-one time.

Beyond the four walls

Outings and connection with the world outside.

Regular outings help residents stay connected to the world around them, with local trips, gentle outings and time spent out in the community where suitable. These moments can bring enjoyment, stimulation and something to look forward to.

One-to-one

The quieter moments often matter most.

Not every resident wants a busy group activity. Some people feel happiest with quieter time, a familiar conversation, music, a hand massage, time outside, a favourite routine or a moment with someone who knows them well. At Greensleeves, one-to-one moments are part of meaningful care, especially for residents living with dementia or those who prefer a gentler pace.

“A good day is made of small, familiar things done well.”
